In 2019 I bought a 1980's Minolta film camera for the hell of it. One and a half years later, I am launching my Film Photography business. There is something so thrilling about pointing the lens at a composition, waiting for the precise moment light, smile, and focus come together to capture. Every single person I have shot has been amazed by how naturally beautiful film photography is. While highly-edited digital photos are beautiful in their own right, there is a special beauty in film, and the moments it captures. Each time I get to see a shoot's developed film, I am taken back to my childhood, scrolling through binder after binder of old film prints. There is a treasure in the vintage recording of my childhood and generational moments of my family. As a photographer, I want to bring this euphoria back to life one smile, one family, one capture at a time.
